Colony was commissioned to design and gain consent for a pair of dwellings in Caversham on a tight residential street. Planning was secured for the replacement dwelling and its partner by appeal following a series of local objections and planning constraints pertaining to back-garden development.

the external brickwork was brought into the interior spaces forming pleasant rooms with texture and materiality 

roof voids were opened and floors cut back to demonstrate their interesting volumes in the main rooms and hallways
